About data, terms of service and privacy policy 

Facile Sendi and Facile Ricevi are tools in the Facila-platform which facilitates registering of manual observations, also via API. Facile Sendi can be used in any small-scale project in need for simple handling of manual, numeric observations.   

The Norwegian Water Resources and Energy Directorate (NVE) is a directorate under the Ministry of Petroleum and Energy. The Facila software suite is developed and funded by NVE. The Facila software is free to use and is not hosted as a service by NVE. As such, the backend system of Facila (Facile Ricevi) might be hosted and operated by different organizations – outside the control of NVE.  The Facile Sendi app might be used by both private persons and organizations that are doing manual observations. 

Data 

Data collected in the Facila system are produced by the users of Facila Sendi and are available 'as is'. They may contain errors and omissions. NVE makes no warranties as for the correctness of the information and does not take responsibility if the data results in incorrect or misleading information. 

Personal information and privacy 

Your system administrator assigns users of the system a unique user ID. This ID is connected to your personal information, namely: 

• Full name 
• Title 
• E-mail address 
• Postal address 
• Phone number 

 The current information can be found under you “profile icon” in the Facile Sendi app. 

 Your personal information can be deleted by you administrator upon request. The observations you have entered will remain in the system but will not be connected to you or your personal details anymore. 

When sending observations through the Facila Sendi app, the exact time and location of your device will accompany the observations. As long as you are defined as a user in the system, this location can be traced back to your user account. The ID of your device is not transferred nor stored in the backend system 

Terms of service 

You automatically accept that your contribution of data to the Facila services can be used and reused by the organization hosting the backend system and by them shared with others. As a user you need to make sure you have the rights for the observations and images you upload in the Facila services. This includes copyright and consent from persons pictured in the images. Uploading images of articles or other content restricted by paywall is prohibited. Limited use of images where persons can be recognized is recommended. You accept images to be reused when uploading images together with observations in Facila services. 

Contact the organization hosting the backend (Facile Ricevi) if you observe or know of information or observations with errors, illegal or offensive content. If you do, the administrator can remove this content.
